Ambrosoli International School is following the North American trend of colour runs with their own event on February, 8.
I have never really understood the appeal of running (or rather walking) in a white t-shirt being bombed with coloured powder, but this one may incite some of you to use your feet, which would be a good thing.
A word of caution, however, as running in a cloud of dyes can raise some health concerns. Depending on the powder used, you may ask yourself what the impact will be on your skin, eyes, lungs, etc.
A colleague has told me that this was a charity event, so just like with all such events, I used my CAS/TOK magnifying glass to find out where the funds were going, and in what proportion. I found out that the recipient is a special needs class...at Ambrosoli International School. The stated aim is to have 1000 participants and the promise is that 'every shilling benefits children with special needs'.
Still, if you just want to participate for the fun of it and later post some crazy pictures of you and your friends on your Facebook page, be advised that you may be better off leaving your expensive camera at home.
